I am mom to 10 beautiful children through birth and adoption. Many of my kiddos have physical or medical special needs. This blog is about the joys and struggles of parenting kids with special needs, and what God has taught me through my kids. I keep it real so expect raw emotion and lots of truth!
A little about my kids . . . .
Grace was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of 10.
Miranda is my first child through birth.
Elshaday was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of 9. Elshaday is HIV+ and is cognitively delayed.
Ethan is my second child through birth.
Faith was adopted from China at the age of 20 months. She was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. She struggles with attachment and sensory processing.
Gabriel was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of 20 months. He has been diagnosis with ADHD and sensory processing disorder. We are trying to treat his ADHD through nutrition and vitamins.
Lily was adopted from China at the age of 6. Lily has Down Syndrome and a CHD. Her CHD has been repaired.
Jacob was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of 12 months. Jacob has Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy. Jacob is non-verbal and is fed through a g-tube.
Sera was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of 20 months. Sera has a rare genetic disorder called Bardet-Biedl Syndrome. She is legally blind, has a kidney disease, and an eating disorder. Sera was born with 7 fingers on each hand and 6 fingers on each foot.
Isaac was adopted from China at the age of 3. Isaac has Down Syndrome.
